To provide those with responsibility for recruiting to understand the requirements and procedures of safer recruitment.
Target Audience
Staff and volunteers working at introduction and core programme level (groups1 – 3+) who work with children and young people.
Prior Learning
Participants should already have attended the Introduction to Safeguarding Children and Children Protection course, or the Core Programme. No other prior knowledge or learning is assumed.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the training participants will:
- Fully understand the requirements and procedures of safer recruitment
- Be confident in the recruitment process
- Be confident in appointment
- Be able to develop appropriate paperwork to support the recruitment and appointment process
- Know where to go for support
Learning Methods
This is an online training session which includes presentations, group exercises and discussions.
The cost for this training will be dependent on your annual income and whether you are a Safer Member. If you are a Safer Member and your annual income is under £250k the cost will be £50. If your annual income is between £250-500K the cost is £70, and if your annual income is above £500k then the cost is £90. The cost for non-members is £120 per person.
