Diane Denzebrink understanding menopause for everyone live event

Understanding Menopause for Everyone: With Diane Danzebrink. Thursday October 22nd 10am until noon Norwich

Open to all staff and volunteers of Norfolk VCSE's Will you or somebody you know or love experience menopause? It may be your partner, a family member, a friend or colleague. Understanding menopause is important for everyone—not only those experiencing it, but also those who may experience it in the future and those who support others through it, both professionally and personally. In the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector we support individuals everyday who may be experiencing menopause symptoms, as well as working alongside colleagues and volunteers who are also. This presentation will provide an introduction to menopause, helping those who experience it to understand their options and make informed choices about their health and wellbeing. It will also help you feel more confident in supporting others, recognising when someone may need help, and knowing how to appropriately signpost them to further information and support. The session, led by Diane Danzebrink; founder of Menopause Support, will include the opportunity for questions and answers following the presentation which will include: What is menopause and when does it happen? Why does it happen? The diversity of menopause and menopause symptoms Management options, including HRT How to offer support Menopause and Beyond and useful resources This free in-person session is a collaboration between Voluntary Norfolk and Menopause Support and is open to all staff and volunteers working/volunteering in Norfolk VCSEs. All are welcome, whether you are experiencing menopause/perimenopause symptoms, have friends or family you want to support or maybe line manage colleagues or support individuals experiencing menopause and want to know more. We are really thankful to Menopause Support and Diane for making this session possible. This is an in person event at Norwich Unity Hub, Carrow House. There will be refreshments available, free parking on site and an opportunity to ask questions.
