Summary

The Norfolk Volunteer Passport Training helps volunteers gain foundation knowledge and skills supporting their volunteering journey.

Detailed description

The Volunteer Passport consists of 5 sessions, one session per week, 3 hours per session provided by Norfolk Adult Learning covering:

 

  • Introduction to Volunteering
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Health and Safety
  • Safeguarding Adults and Children
  • Person-centred Approaches
  • reflective Learning through you Individual Learning Journal (IJL)

 

You will also receive:

  • Support during the training programme
  • Help to find a volunteering role, if needed
  • Registration with Volunteer Passport scheme with a certificate of completion and an ID badge (optional)

 

Once you have completed the course you will be invited to join the Volunteer Passport database, which is held on Get InVOLved Norfolk. You will also be supported to use the Get InVOLved Norfolk and Get InVOLved Skills platforms to keep a record of your volunteering activity, further training and other information which you can then share with organisations when applying for volunteering roles.

 

This is an online course running for 5 weeks on Wednesdays. You will need a laptop or computer with a webcam and microphone to participate in the course.


Sessions will take place on the following dates and you need to attend all to complete the Passport training.


February 25th 9:30 until 12:30

March 4th 9:30 until 12:30

March 11th 9:30 until 12:30

March 18th 9:30 until 12:30

March 25th 9:30 until 12:30

Who can enrol?


You must be a Norfolk resident aged 19+ and have the right of abode in the UK (the right to live and work in the UK) or Pre-Settled Status or Settled Status within the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) on the first day of the course.
