Detailed description

All who involve volunteers may face situations that can be difficult. Preventing this happening, but dealing well with it, when it does, can help in retaining a happy team of volunteers. Attend this online event and explore the types of challenging situations that may arise when involving volunteers and ways to positively manage these.

By the end of the course / Course Aims / Questions you will be able to answer

– How to mitigate the likelihood of issues occurring in the first place

– The role of the volunteer agreement

– Self-reflection on own communication style, listening skills, how to deliver difficult messages

– How to deal with volunteer conduct or performance issues

– How to say goodbye well, the importance of reflection and learning

Kerry from our volunteering team has a background in recruiting, inducting and retaining volunteers. As a serial volunteer herself, she also understands both perspectives. As a trained trainer, she looks forward to your valuable diverse experience and input at this interactive session.
