Autism affects many people in different ways. Understanding the needs of autistic people improves services. The Norfolk All Age Partnership co-produced, designed and created this Autism Awareness eLearning programme with the help of Norfolk County Council. The eLearning was developed to be shared, to spread awareness and understanding of Autism around Norfolk and beyond!

This training was co-produced by members of the board that included Autistic people, parents and carers of Autistic people and professionals from a range of services.

The training complies with the Autism Act (2010) and the Equalities Act (2010) and covers subjects such as:

  • The notion of Autism as a spectrum, including the fact that it is a life-long condition.
  • Key characteristics – understanding the main differences found in Autistic people
  • Common sensory differences experienced by Autistic people.

The course is free to access and should take around 45 minutes to complete.
