What is the course about?
- Overview - what safeguarding adults means, mental capacity, making safeguarding personal and key UK regulation and guidance.
- The 5 R's of Safeguarding - how to Recognise, Respond, Record and Report safeguarding concerns and how they are Referred.
- Types of Harm - physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, neglect, self-neglect, financial or material abuse, discriminatory abuse, modern slavery and organisational abuse.
- Additional Topics - prevent and forced marriage.
- Who is at Risk - recognising the signs of abuse and neglect and who is most at risk.
- Quizzes & Scenarios – realistic situations to reinforce learning
- Completion Certificate – downloadable immediately after the course
