Who is this training for?


Channel is a multi-agency programme across England and Wales that provides support at an early stage to people who are at risk of radicalisation, becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism. In Scotland, the programme is known as Prevent Multi-Agency Panel (PMAP). This course is for:

  • local authority Channel panel or PMAP chairs
  • Channel or PMAP members
  • anyone who may be asked to contribute to, or sit on, a Channel panel or PMAP

You may be asked to join a panel meeting if you have been involved in the Prevent referral of a person or have a connection with the person, such as you are their teacher, or social worker.

Complete this course before attending a Channel panel or PMAP so you have a better understanding of how the Prevent programme helps those at risk of radicalisation. 


Please note you need to have completed the awareness and referrals courses first.
